The Throne Hall is the most symbolic room of the former Royal Palace on Calea Victoriei, in the heart of Bucharest, now home to the National Museum of Art of Romania.
The present palace was erected between 1936 and 1937, to designs by architect Nicolae Nenciulescu, after a fire destroyed the earlier palace of King Carol I in 1926. The throne room, with the royal throne, appears in the iconic images of Romania's four kings, and for decades it was the setting for the monarchy's official ceremonies.
With a capacity of up to 180 seats, the Throne Hall provides a distinguished setting for the Digital Finance Forum 2026 and its day of institutional dialogue, European and international perspectives, and discussion on the future of digital finance in Central and Eastern Europe.
In the Heart of Bucharest
The museum is located in central Bucharest, on Calea Victoriei, and is easily accessible from the surrounding city centre.
